April News Letter Garner Lodge 701

Brethren,
As Brother Nash stated in their newsletter we have had some exciting times this
year already and more to follow I ‘m sure. Please don’t forget our fund raisers
they are a lot closer than we think, the Golf Tournament is May 5th and not long at all. Brother
Barry Tucker has lined up some great prizes this year so get the word out that
it’s open to anyone and all.
Brother Randy continues to sell our cans for the
Children’s Home so thanks for those and keep them coming. With the cans and
Randy’s contribution from his business it’s a great help to the home.
We also had an
official visit from the D.D.G.M. Worshipful Brother Bruce Mulheim. We discussed
the history of “Prince Hall” masonry and recognition of the fraternity by our
Grand Lodge. As we did not have any Masonic education planned for that night
thanks to Bro. Mulheim and those who participated in the discussion we all
learned a lot.
Speaking of Masonic education our school of instruction
was great this time. We had smaller groups which allowed us to participate more
and talk less and were a lot easier to instruct I’m sure. If you missed it you
missed a good one and thanks to the guys who put it on.
Please read the Past Master’s corner Worshipful Bro.
Ronnie has some thoughts for us there too.
Masonic education is one of the things I would like to
concentrate on this year and would like to work on Lodge Etiquette as wells as
degree work and participation from all of us will be needed in the lodge.
Fraternally yours
Greg Ray
