News Letter Garner Lodge 701
Brethren,
October
as we stated it would be was very busy at the lodge. Please remember that the
Per Capita Tax was changed at the Grand Lodge Annual Communication this year
and is now $15.00 dollars plus the Lodge Dues which are $65.00 for a total of
$80.00, the new dues notices are on the way and will reflect the change
accordingly when you receive them.
There are several dates that we need to mention again as well as some new ones and I’ll list them below. We again will be assisting the Garner Parks Recreation
Department at the
Goblins in the Park celebration on October 29th at 6:00 pm, so if anyone can help please
contact Ken or Ronnie for the details. All help will be greatly
appreciated. Our participation in the
park activities has given us an exceptional opportunity to be involved in the
community and we thank them very much.
One of the schools of
instruction will be at our lodge on October 23rd , so please come and enjoy. If it’s like the
last one you don’t want to miss it, they did a wonderful job! The other one
will be at Green Level on November 2nd
at 7:30 pm, and if you can come please do we
will need as many as we can get.
The Past Master’s
Dinner will be before our meeting on November 8th at 6:30 pm.
The Pancake Supper is
in honor of our Veterans on November 11th at 6:30 pm, and will top off the year with some additional support for our charities
so please come and support them both if
you can, everyone and anyone is invited.
We have two entered apprentices
who are preparing for their next Journey in Masonry and the degree teams have
done a great job this year.
There has been some
general guidelines adopted for the kitchen and dining hall use and will be
posted by the calendar down stairs.
Move up night will be on November 22nd
and the Christmas Dinner will be on December 11th
at 6:00 pm.
