Brethren,
Tidings from the East. We had our last stated communication on March 11th. We enjoyed a fantastic meal of chicken pot pie along with a wonderful homemade cheese cake. Many thanks to the chef’s crew and Cathy Talaska. After the dinner, we had a good attendance at our meeting. Brother Jim Talaska presented us with a very informative bit of Masonic education. At our meeting, it was decided that our Charity Auction will be held on September 14th; dinner starts at 5:00 p.m. and the auction starts at 6:00 p.m.
Cary Lodge #198 is holding the traveling gavel hostage. An attack is planned for March 18th to try to reclaim it.
All Officers should plan to attend the District 15 Schools of Instruction on April 25th at Masters Lodge – 1520 Caswell Street and on April 29th at Charles B. Newcomb Lodge. All other members are welcome to attend as well.
Brethren, please keep in mind the District 15 Meeting with the Grand Master at Master’s Lodge on April 18, 2002 and please plan to attend.
On May 4, 2002, we will have a District 15 Project at the Masonic Children’s Home in Oxford. We will be serving the meal and need everyone’s participation. Hope to see you all there!
